Logo Leader: Imperial Frozen Food Illustrated Logo Grade A frozen fruits and vegetables at your fingertips Imperial Frozen Foods is a leading supplier of Grade A conventional and organic frozen fruits. Imperial Frozen Foods are picked at peak ripeness, wash, blanched, frozen and packaged within a few hours of being harvested. This allows the fruits and vegetables to retain vitamins and antioxidants, avoids the need for artificial sweeteners or dyes. Additionally, it allows consumers to have convenient storage which avoids excess waste. Imperial Frozen Foods needed an illustrated logo which embodied the freshness and variety of their products. Why is this the right logo for the job? First, the Imperial Frozen Foods logo needed an illustrated collection of fresh fruits to compliment the company name. Second, items showcasing the logo mark needed to look at once “fresh” and still “portable”. Third, a wide appeal was needed to encompass the needs of retail, club, and food service segments. Finally, the logo needed to appeal to outside companies for expanding partner programs. The bright, vibrant colors showcased in the logo help make these mixed berries enticing. The shininess of the fruits are refreshing and look at ease featured on product package designs. Bright colors like this are guaranteed to stand out on the shelf, and the appealing illustrations make this logo that much more attractive. This showcases the fresh, all-natural aspect that Imperial Frozen Foods strives for. Expanding the illustrated logo into the corporate identity Some logos are just about making a splash. Others are about ensuring that a strong identity is built, conveyed, and a brand moves forward. For...

Logo Leader: Visit NC Concierge Iconic Logo Don’t just see North Carolina. Experience it. Visit NC Concierge is a Raleigh, NC business whose logo is iconic. Their Pine Cone Logo represents this company’s enjoyable sense of exploration and adventure. Traveling across the state to off–the-beaten-path locations from the coast to the Blue Ridge Mountains, they needed a logo which would be recognizable to everyone and seen throughout the state. We incorporated the pinecone as an ode to the state’s iconic long leaf pines. With a rustic, gritty outdoor-exploration feel, a contrasting modern sans-serif font compliments this cleanly. The green color palette beckons to the spirit of adventure, inspiring the viewer to get out and explore all that North Carolina has to offer. This of course, is their speciality. Why is this the right logo for the job? Visit NC Concierge provides unique travel experiences showcasing North Carolina’s geography, history, and culture, while savoring the region’s finest sites, dining, and lodging. “NC Logos” and Other Broad-Ranging Results The way you search on Google determines the results that you get… so why aren’t you getting great results? You’re not getting great search results because your search terms themselves are too broad. Let me give you an example: “NC logos“. While searching this Google result, you will receive a great deal of information about NC logos, and in fact, you you’ll probably find our company there as well: Generate Design. The reason you’ll find us is because we are a graphic design, advertising and website design company in Raleigh North Carolina. Do we design great logos? We do. Is that what you’re looking for? Well, honestly we hope so. However, if you are trying to find a specific North Carolina logo, if you are trying to find a specific design firm to make your logo, you may find that the results are difficult to find among the clutter of results you’ve received. There are numerous colleges in North Carolina which have specific logos ( none will be shown here, sorry). Even trying to take the two terms to something close, like “Raleigh Logos” will be too vague. You have companies in this area which create those logos, and you have plenty of areas which will sell you items with those logos on them. Trying to wade through all those results to get to the pure gold you want can be tedious. Long Tail Keywords Are Your Friends As a result, most people have resorted to using” long tail keywords” in their Google searches. This means that rather than looking up a short...

Alessandra Criseo is an illustrator standing out against a sea of artists Alessandra Criseo is an artist I discovered whilst looking through an illustration issue of Communication Arts magazine. Flipping through the numerous pages— each with the same thickness, similar things on each page, hundreds of art pieces drowning in a sea of sameness— her art caught my eye in the midst of a sea of illustrations. Criseo is an inspiring stylistic artist; There is a great diversity in her pieces: some with simple lines and with flat colors, and some with bold and dynamic coloring and detailed lining. Many, if not most, of her art is original and with unique characters, creatures, or ideas. Standing Apart Criseo grew up not knowing whether art, let alone illustration, was a viable career. No one in her family had the same interest, and she didn’t know anyone who pursued the path she wanted. She grew up drawing comics, copied from several sources, including her sister’s comic drawings. Even though her choice to go into art was not what they had envisioned, Criseo’s parents were supportive of her goals and dreams. In retrospect, this was very life impacting at a young age, forming an ambition juxtaposed against the norm for the rest of society. It is very important for parental figures or role models to provide an opportunistic path for a younger generation. Every potential interest affects willpower, motivation, confidence, and dedication for or toward their goals. Along her journey, Alessandra Ciseo learned to provide art for her clients based on her style and her sense, giving them something that is good,...

Logo Failures Are The Worst, But Why Does A Logo Fail? Why Does a Logo Fail? I know nobody in the capitalist society likes to hear this, but you get what you pay for. When a design company tells you that your logo is going to cost at least in the $300-$500 mark, many small businesses (and they’re not the only ones) start to get scared, and back away as fast as possible. Why are they upset? Frankly, it has to do with sticker shock. What Is A Logo For? Your company logo is used often. Some of the best logo designs stand out quickly and easily. Its a single identifying item which is supposed to encapsulate the look and feel, thoughts emotions, and standards of your company— all boiled down into a single mark which is easily readable, easily shrinkable or expandable, and used in all forms of applications under the sun. A well-designed logo will be memorable, helping customers to remember your brand. For something that is used so often, something which is supposed to encapsulate the brand of your company in a form which is recognizable in 1/5th of a second or less, you’d think you’d want a great product which would really last. Your logo should influence decisions, clearly communicate and represent the values which your company holds dear, and help you get recognized at a distance. It should be a memorable. It should identify you and strike a chord with the viewer. It is a tool— both tactical and strategic— to identify your business and connect your service with the viewer. If at first blush,...

Generate Design: Begin at the Beginning Tiffany and Paul Barth, owners of Generate Design, arrived in North Carolina in the early 1990’s with a dream to one day own their own design business. But like all things, it wasn’t easy to succeed, and it didn’t happen overnight. With every large undertaking, there’s always a mission, a vision, and a beginning. Read More… Tiffany and Paul met at Iowa State University during their last semester of college, where they both earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. The two met during their last semester of college, a time when plans for the future, a sharpening of talents, and the pursuit of excellence are always on one’s mind. Their evening class was taught by an industry professional, so every project required the kind of research, listening, deep thinking and graphic design work that would really grab his attention. He ran a design firm in the daytime in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Twice a week, he would drive to Ames, Iowa and teach a blended mix of professional practice, and graphic design— bringing down brutal critiques and uplifting students with pinpoint praises and highly individual encouragement. She Was Going To Be An Award-Winning Graphic Designer A mutual friend introduced the two of them, and working shoulder to should on joint projects they found a rhythm of give and take, pitching their strengths together when needed and each doing their part to achieve success. Paul remembers the projects in that class as though it were yesterday: “There was one memorable project that Tiffany really took us by storm with. We...
